Advanced safety systems – in the Opel Crossland X
Even the best drivers can’t see what’s coming all the time. That’s why the Opel Crossland X is available with innovative driver assistant systems that flag up hazards you might have overseen. Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection* automatically brakes the car if you approach pedestrians or other vehicles too fast. See what you’re missing when you reverse. With the 180° Panoramic Rear View Camera**, you can even see around corners at the back of the car.The Head-up Display projects key info into the driver’s field of view so you can keep your eyes safely on the road. Works automatically above 5 km/h and below 85 km/h. From 5 to 30 km/h the deceleration metric to reduce the impact speed of the collision is 0.9 g. From 30 to 85 km/h the system reduces the speed by a maximum of 22 km/h. Above this threshold, the driver needs to brake him/herself to reduce the speed even further. Operational speed range of Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection depends on the detected obstacle (mobile target: from 5 to 85 km/h; fixed target: from 5 to 80 km/h; pedestrian: from 5 to 60 km/h). Opel driver assistance systems are intended to support the driver within the limitations intrinsic to the system. The driver remains responsible for the driving task. Available from autumn 2017**Activated in reverse gear up to 10km/h. Infotainment system displays colour overhead view of vehicle, area directly behind vehicle and to both sides up to 180°, incl. grid overlay for guidance.
