Mercedes-Benz Recall - KBA 14868R

ISSUE

Overloading the high-voltage starter-generator control unit can lead to failure of the electric drive and the 12V battery can no longer be charged. Further short-term operation with the combustion engine results in increased exhaust emissions.

REMEDY

As a remedy, the Mercedes-Benz service organisation will update the software of the high-voltage starter-alternator in the affected vehicles.
