Automakers urge EU to consider 5G Internet connectivity

BMW has made a last-minute effort, along with Vodafone and Ericsson, to persuade the EU of the advantages of using 5G technology in cars, amid concerns over the bloc executive’s preference for a Wi-Fi-based technology being pursued by their rivals.
