BMW denies diesel cars have ‘shut off’ device to mask high NOx emissions

BMW denied allegations that engine management software shut off a system filtering emissions in some of its diesel cars. A German environmental group alleged that a 3-series diesel wagon emitted amounts of NOx seven times above the legal limit.
