Busted! VW faces $18 billion in fines for cheating on emissions tests
On Friday, the Obama Administration ordered Volkswagen to recall nearly 500,000 vehicles, saying the automaker used software to circumvent emissions tests. The “defeat device” was installed in several Volkswagen and Audi diesel models from 2009 to 2015.
