Charging station count rises, but plug-in vehicle sales fall

While there are more public plug-in vehicle charging stations in the US than ever before, it appears the numbers show a case of diminishing returns. The US Department of Transportation does a count at the end of each October, and so, for the 12 months that ended October 2015, we know that the number of public charging outlets in the US jumped 27 percent from the year before.
