Current FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem will face yet another opponent in the FIA elections, with Belgian Virginie Philippot announcing her candidacy. Ben Sulayem, who was elected in 2021, succeeding former Ferrari boss Jean Todt, has endured a bumpy first term riddled by scandal and accusations of sexism as well as race fixing.
