Ford employees filed for a record 6k patents in 2015

Ford got its patent on this year, with hundreds of global employees filing almost 6,000 applications with the Patent and Trademark Office, a record for the company. That volume is up 36 percent over last year’s filings and represents an increase of 200 percent in the past five years.
