Ford will take $600M hit in 4th quarter in wake of UAW deal

Ford will have an additional $600 million in expenses in the fourth quarter to pay for the initial costs of its new contract with the United Auto Workers. While that amount is significant, the Blue Oval is actually quite happy with the latest union arrangement because labor costs grow less than 1.5 percent a year through 2019, theDetroit Free Press reports.
