German automakers at most risk from Trump tariffs

The U.S. Commerce Department has sent a report to President Donald Trump that could lead to tariffs of up to 25 percent on imported cars. Mercedes, BMW and VW Group have the most at stake from any trade penalties imposed on vehicles they export to the U.S. from Europe.
