German sales fall 1% in January even as diesel market recovers

Tesla, Volvo and Ford were the big winners in a German market down 1 percent in January. German brands Porsche, VW, Opel, BMW and Mercedes all saw their volumes fall. Sales of diesel vehicles rose 2 percent.
