GM wants positive relationship with feds as ignition-switch oversight ends

It’s been three years since GM’s failure to respond to faulty ignition switches came to light. In that time, the automaker has been under the watchful eyes of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, but its consent agreement with the government agency has ended.
