GM works on new mapping tech to aid autonomous driving

General Motors and Mobileye will work together on tech that would crowdsource the complicated process of creating highly accurate road maps for autonomous vehicles. This solution leverages Mobileye’s Road Experience Management system to take pictures of the highway and then upload them through OnStar to generate constantly updating data for driverless cars to use.
