House Republicans want to scrap the $7,500 EV tax credit

WASHINGTON — House Republicans are proposing to eliminate a $7,500 tax credit for electric vehicles that could hurt automakers like General Motors, Tesla and Nissan that are selling larger numbers of EVs — and others such as Volkswagen, Volvo, Mercedes, Ford who are rushing to electrify their fleets.
