Infineon agrees to buy Cree’s Wolfspeed unit for $850 million

Chipmaker Infineon, a key supplier of autonomous-driving and EV technology, will buy Cree’s Wolfspeed Power unit for $850 million in a move to help it expand in compound semiconductors and power-management chips.
