Junkyard Gem: 1983 Toyota Corolla Liftback Coupe

The rear-wheel-drive AE72 Toyota Corolla was sold in the United States alongside the completely unrelated “Corolla Tercel,” then was replaced by the front-wheel-drive AE82 and the rear-wheel-drive AE86 Corollas. Here’s a late AE72 liftback coupe, found in a San Francisco Bay Area self-service wrecking yard.
