Kia's American subsidiary has identified an issue affecting 2021 through 2023 model year Sorento LX crossovers. In these vehicles, the HVAC system's connection between the blower motor resistor and connector may overheat when using the fan at speed three. In extreme cases, the overheating condition may lead to a fire.
