Lyft, GM will now rent you a car for your ride hailing job

Competing directly with Uber may be a bear, but it gets a tad easier when you have General Motors behind you. Lyft, which recently received a $500 million investment from the auto giant, will work with GM on the launch of a short-term car-rental service called Express Drive that’s geared towards Lyft drivers.
