Maine wants to charge EV and hybrid drivers for using less gas

Maine State Legislature bill L.D. 1806 proposes a supplemental registration fee for drivers of battery-electric and hybrid vehicles. If the bill passes, Maine will join at least 11 other states in levying an additional charge on drivers trying to save money at the pump.
