Mazda plans electric push to avoid EU emissions penalties

Mazda is accelerating a push into electrified vehicles to help avoid EU fines for failing to cut greenhouse gas emissions. Mazda and rivals face total fines in excess of more than $16 billion if they fail to comply with tighter CO2 emission limits.
