Mazda quarterly operating profit falls 79% on weak U.S., China sales

Mazda has been struggling with falling demand for its vehicles while also recovering from flood-related damage to its factories in Japan. The automaker reiterated its forecast for a 33 percent rise in operating profit for the fiscal year ending in March.
