NHTSA nixes Autopilot Buddy, a Tesla attention-detection cheating device
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued a cease and desist letter and ruled the Autopilot Buddy cheat device unsafe. The device’s purpose is to defeat Tesla’s Autopilot hands-on-the-steering-wheel safety feature.
