Panasonic plans to halve cobalt in car batteries in 2-3 years

Panasonic plans to halve the cobalt content of its mass-produced automotive batteries “in two to three years” as the supplier looks to reduce costs. The mineral has leapt in price in recent years as demand for EVs gains traction.
