Renault, Nissan, Mitsubishi defuse tension and outline ‘new start’ for alliance

Renault said it would not seek to appoint Nissan’s chairman as the automakers announced a new power-sharing agreement to defuse tension that has threatened to derail the alliance since the arrest of its former leader, Carlos Ghosn.
