Steel unit boosts Thyssenkrupp profit ahead of Tata Steel tie-up

Thyssenkrupp said first-quarter operating profit at it’s European steel division rose nearly six-fold to 160 million euros ($198 million) due to improved prices. The unit will be merged with Tata Steel’s European operations.
