US fleetwide MPG reaches highest level in almost a year

After years of promising gains, fleetwide fuel economy hit a three-year plateau for model years 2014 through 2016. The last few months of 2016 continued this disappointing trend as gas prices mostly remained low and large-vehicle sales remained strong.
