Volvo buy lifts Geely; JLR deal less dynamic for Tata

Tata and Zhejiang Geely both bought luxury brands from a struggling Ford during the global recession. Since Geely’s purchase in 2010, it has seen the share price of its listed unit increase sixfold. India’s Tata has merely doubled its share price.
