VW ID3 electric car exceeds expectations but trails Tesla

More than 10,000 people have each paid a 1,000 euro ($1,120) deposit for Volkswagen’s ID3 electric hatchback. When rival Tesla started taking deposits for the Model 3, more than 115,000 requests were made in the first 24 hours.
