VW identifies 1.9 billion euros in savings as cost-cut push takes shape

VW Group has identified about 1.9 billion euros ($2 billion) in savings at its core brand that include reducing variants and trim options in a bid to help offset fines and recalls stemming from the manipulation of vehicle emissions.
