VW knew fuel use in some cars was too high a year ago, report says

VW Group ‘s top executives knew a year ago that some of the company’s cars were markedly less fuel efficient than had been officially stated, a German newspaper reported Sunday. A VW spokesman declined to comment on the accuracy of the report.
