VW needs outsider as next CEO, leading German politician says

Bernd Althusmann, the politician forecast to become head of Lower Saxony, VW’s second-biggest shareholder, said someone from outside the industry should succeed the automaker’s CEO Matthias Mueller when his contract expires in 2020.
