VW profit rises 3.4% as company plans diesel-crisis rebound

VW Group’s profit rose 3.4 percent to $3.83 billion in the first quarter, the first time the company hasn’t set aside billions of euros in provisions since admitting to rigging diesel vehicles to pass emissions tests.
