VW wants to build EV similar to Budd-e concept around 2020
The boxy shape of the Volkswagen Budd-e from the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show could arrive at dealers early next decade. Dr. Volkmar Tanneberger, VW’s electric development boss, tells Car the production version would also use the concept’s powertrain layout, which has flat batteries and an electric motor at both axles.
