VW will deepen alliances with battery suppliers for electric push

Volkswagen Group has not been able to build as many electric cars as it wanted to because of a battery supply crunch so it will help to finance production by suppliers to back its aggressive push for mass producing EVs, purchasing chief Stefan Sommer said.
